Fight Girls collects issues 1-5 of the AWA Upshots series written and drawn by Frank Cho。 On an alien planet, or magical kingdom, or alternate dimension - somewhere that is NOT Earth - a group of female warriors fight to become the kingdom's new queen。 This is written and drawn by Frank Cho so you pretty much know what you are getting: bikini-clad curvaceous women, dinosaurs, and jungle animals。 It is all here。 The book is basically Hunger Games where the winner gets to become queen。 It's all ju Fight Girls collects issues 1-5 of the AWA Upshots series written and drawn by Frank Cho。 On an alien planet, or magical kingdom, or alternate dimension - somewhere that is NOT Earth - a group of female warriors fight to become the kingdom's new queen。 This is written and drawn by Frank Cho so you pretty much know what you are getting: bikini-clad curvaceous women, dinosaurs, and jungle animals。 It is all here。 The book is basically Hunger Games where the winner gets to become queen。 It's all just fairly straightforward action sequences until the story comes to a "twist" ending。 I'm sure Frank Cho had a great time making this book and some of the art is fun。 I'm torn with Frank's art - I really like his drawing style, but he is definitely a bit of a perv。 。。。more

It's not bad。 It's just somewhere between okay and good, so maybe 2。5 stars, if there was such a thing, actually but I'm rounding it up to 3 stars。 Girls and dinosaurs are basically what Frank Cho is known for and, not surprisingly, that's exactly what you get here。 A quick read for a lazy weekend morning。 It's not bad。 It's just somewhere between okay and good, so maybe 2。5 stars, if there was such a thing, actually but I'm rounding it up to 3 stars。 Girls and dinosaurs are basically what Frank Cho is known for and, not surprisingly, that's exactly what you get here。 A quick read for a lazy weekend morning。 。。。more

This is Frank Cho’s wheel house。 Drawing woman and dinosaurs with top notch art。 Here we have a Queen that has left her throne。 So now they have gathered up the best of the best woman to compete in the ultimate challenge where the winner becomes the new queen。 As simple as that sounds, this has every opportunity to just be dumb as hell。 But Frank added in a little flavor to hype up the story。 A little espionage, a mole, a plot twist and the fact that being the queen ain’t all what it’s cracked u This is Frank Cho’s wheel house。 Drawing woman and dinosaurs with top notch art。 Here we have a Queen that has left her throne。 So now they have gathered up the best of the best woman to compete in the ultimate challenge where the winner becomes the new queen。 As simple as that sounds, this has every opportunity to just be dumb as hell。 But Frank added in a little flavor to hype up the story。 A little espionage, a mole, a plot twist and the fact that being the queen ain’t all what it’s cracked up to be。 Ended up being decent。 。。。more

The story could have been better, but the book shines due to the art。 What spectacular artwork!

The trials were exciting。

I didn't expect anything more from this than Frank Cho TnA。 I like his artwork。 It's not for everyone, but I like it。 The title is cheesy and the concept is borrowed from other battle royale type stories already told。 But I have to admit, I was surprised by the ending。 Didn't see that coming。 Not a must-read, but a fun read。 I didn't expect anything more from this than Frank Cho TnA。 I like his artwork。 It's not for everyone, but I like it。 The title is cheesy and the concept is borrowed from other battle royale type stories already told。 But I have to admit, I was surprised by the ending。 Didn't see that coming。 Not a must-read, but a fun read。 。。。more

I didn't expect to like this, because I find Cho's cheesecake art a bit off putting。 The surprise? The story was much better than I expected even if it rips off The Hunger Games (a bit)。 Ten women are competing in multiple events to become the new empress。 The last one standing get the title。Plus, a nice small twist at the end that I didn't see coming。 I didn't expect to like this, because I find Cho's cheesecake art a bit off putting。 The surprise? Fight Girls is a more violent and exploitative take on the Hunger Games/Battle Royale story, splendidly illustrated by Frank Cho who is famous for drawing beautiful women and dinosaurs, and that's exactly what you're gonna get from this book。 It was pretty fun to read for a while, but the plot was so thin that the premise got old rather quickly, I lost my interest half way through it, and I disliked the gory parts which were a bit off-putting。 Overall, not a bad book, I'm sure Frank Cho had a lo Fight Girls is a more violent and exploitative take on the Hunger Games/Battle Royale story, splendidly illustrated by Frank Cho who is famous for drawing beautiful women and dinosaurs, and that's exactly what you're gonna get from this book。 It was pretty fun to read for a while, but the plot was so thin that the premise got old rather quickly, I lost my interest half way through it, and I disliked the gory parts which were a bit off-putting。 Overall, not a bad book, I'm sure Frank Cho had a lot of fun creating it, but the story needed to be a bit more engaging。 。。。more

Frank Cho draws ladies and dinosaurs。 The most Frank Cho book you could think of, and it’s pretty okay。 Nothing too groundbreaking, and the ending twist is kinda stupid, but this is a fun, quick read, and another okay comic worth checking out from AWA。
